Aromatherapy uses plant materials and aromatic plant oils, including essential oils, and other aroma compounds for improving psychological or physical well-being.
First of all, i’d like to start of by saying, i have always been very skeptical about Aromatherapy. I haven’t personally gone out of my way to buy essential oils. However, i have read a lot about them and how they have worked for others.
I had no intention of buying any product related to Aromatherapy this weekend but if you’re walking past a store that has the biggest 75% SALE sign you’ve seen in a long time then obviously it is only right that you go in.
Bath and Body Works is one of my favorite stores but i have always loved their candles more than anything else but as soon as i walk in i come across different types of Aromatherapy lotions, bath scrubs etc and i am not going to lie the first thing i did was laugh and said “yeah right”
I had told myself there is no way this is going to help me feel less stressed or happy, i mean how could it even be possible? After a good 10 minutes of contemplating whether or not i should buy one or not I decided i will pick one to try and see if it could prove me wrong. I couldn’t decide between the happiness lotion or the stress relief but i’d like to think i am my happy cheery self for the most part, my husband would love to disagree right now, so i went for the stress relief to see if it would help.
Well… i tried it and maybe it proved me wrong! It didn’t completely make me forget about the things i would stress over but i just felt calm and relaxed.. I really wouldn’t recommend this as something to treat anxiety or other health issues but it definitely helped me feel a lot more relaxed and not over think about things that would stress me out. I would recommended using it after a bath in the evening.
Have you tried Aromatherapy? What are your thoughts? Let me know if something like this has worked for you or if you could recommend other products?
